One other thing that would be very helpful in light of comments I've
heard from students would be a WAP.

Just as a bit of background, NMSU-CS runs a pretty closed network:  we
don't do encryption, but machines do have to be registered with our
Computer Operations Group to be allowed on the network.  So what works
best is for me to bring a machine registered with them, and to use
that machine as a gateway.  I'll actually have to think a little bit
about how to do that; the machine I used last time is now in use here
at home as my home gateway.
