I replied with a message about this, but it didn't seem to get to the
list. :(
This is what I said (sans attachments):
I think we need to make a decision for the installfest date. People
seemed to favor the 30th. All we really need to do is hang a couple of
flyers. I've attached a draft. Feel free to edit after we come to a
consensus.
Can someone, (ahem Hans and Michael) handle the posting around the CS
and maybe EE buildings? If we decide to go ahead that is.
Speaking of which, the first thing ought to be whether or not we can
still get the room? Joe, can we? If not, let's blow it off until
another day. Hopefully we can do this, help a few folks and move on
with our busy lives, eh?
Aight. Looking forward to it. Comments?
Don

Mesilla Valley Linux Users Group
The MVLUG is running a help/install session from
11:00 – 2:00 (or later as need be) in
Science Hall room 124
this Saturday, August 30th.
This event is open to all students and members of the community that
would like help installing or running Linux on their laptops or
desktops. If you have a desktop, I'm afraid you'll have to lug your
monitor, keyboard and mouse along with you.
Please consider backing up your data prior to arriving – things, uhm,
sometimes don't go as planned. If you're less than enthusiastic about
installing Linux on your hard drive, we'll help you find a “Live” CD
suitable for your needs that will let you test drive Linux without
making any changes to your machine.
If you would like pizza and sodas during the installfest, bring a few
bucks along with you ($4-5 or so).
